The Countryman's Weekly stand was extremely busy all weekend, completely selling out of handbooks and taking a record number of subscriptions.
General Manager of The Countryman's Weekly, Tracey Allen said: "This was the first year I had attended the East Anglian Game and Country Fair myself and for the newspaper it was a huge success, attracting many new subscribers, readers and advertisers. Our thanks go to Andy and his team for inviting us along to this now well-established event".

EDP Norfolk magazine is proud to be associated with the East Anglian Game & Country Fair. The event makes a fantastic day out for families - with or
without their dogs! - and there is always plenty to see and do. Last year's event was a great success and we had some very positive feedback from our readers, which is why we decided to sponsor the East Anglian Game & Country Fair again this year. It is a chance to see some of the most exciting country events in action from John Bidwell's amazing shooting display, gun
dog displays and falconry, to sheep shearing, archery and fishing. This is the third year that the event has taken place and it seems to get bigger and better each time, with all sorts of stalls and attractions aimed at all ages - this year's members' marquee is an excellent addition. The team at EDP Norfolk is very much looking forward to this weekend and I know that our
readers are, too.

“An excellent start to the summer show season and highly recommended to anybody interested in country sports and the countryside.
An easily accessible site, with plenty for all the family. From children’s entertainment to gundog’s and from sheep shearing to ferret racing”.
William Heal of BASC
“The Game Fair is well advertised and seems to be going from strength to strength with bigger crowds each year”.
Steve Bennington of Churchill’s of Dereham (Gunsmiths)
“Thank you for an excellent Game Fair 2005. Everything was first class, from the organisation through to the event days themselves. Not only did we receive all the pre-event information in plenty of time, but also it was also very easy to understand and book the right space-something, which is not always the case with other events we attended. The event proved successful for us, both in terms of raising awareness of the training and education we offer but also with regards to recruiting students.
We look forward to an equally successful 2006 show”.
Craig Smith - Marketing Officer Easton College
“The East Anglian Game and Country Fair is a good family show, representing good value for money. It provides a whole day out for the family, which means the public are happy and relaxed which tends to increase their spending habits.
The organisers are nice people to do business with, and they put their trade stands first for a change which resulted in our takings being 30% up on the previous year (their first ever show), compared to 80% of our other shows this season which were all down.
I look forward to trading at this show again in 2006”.
Darren, Kitchen & Things, Newmarket.
“I am writing to congratulate you on a very well organised and profitable show on the 23rd and 24th April 2005. Please reserve us a stand for the next show, as we would very much like to be included”.
Maureen and Bill Prior of Forever Living Products
“Just a line to thank you for another great event at the East Anglian Game and Country Fair, weather perfect!! And a great crowd
Please re-book the same location in the food hall for 2006 as this year”.
Peter Williams of The Original Welsh Oggies Co
“We wish to express our sincere thanks at being included in such a well-attended show.
The professionalism and expertise shown in the organisation of the event, and subsequent smooth running of the show were greatly appreciated”.
Mr A. Cammarota Managing Director of Gourmet Med Ltd
“Thank you so much for a thoroughly enjoyable show. The crowds were exceptional and we had one of our most successful shows of the year, in fact we would like a bigger stand or two stands at the 2006 show.
The marketing and signage was first class, which reflected the dedication and enthusiasm of the organisers that traders should do well.
We look forward to another enjoyable show in 2006, especially the addition of the Member’s Enclosure, which we have joined”.
Mr Indersit Sangar of Midland Clothing Company
“The East Anglian Game and Country Fair was brilliantly organised and well advertised, especially the hundreds of roadside boards, which led to us gaining many new customers that were new to the Norfolk Showground.
Our customers also commented on how pleased they were at the great variety of activities which they could have a go at and how the show provided lots of entertainment for the whole family. I’m sure this will was reflected in the good trade at the show in an otherwise quite difficult year on the show circuit.
We very much look forward to trading at the 2006 show”.
Richard and Susan, The Cotton Shirt Company
"Once again even though the show is in its infancy, the attendance of the correctly targeted visitors, i.e. Country and Game clientele exceeded the estimated attendance figures. This I assume is the result of selective advertising and marketing, obviously by a well organised management. The spend per capital was higher than expected and we look forward to trading at the 2006 event".
Mr Ken Anderson, Managing Director, The Two Hatters Ltd
