The Salmon and Trout Association will be demonstrating flytying, with an opportunity for you to "tie your own fly".
Qualified coaches will be available for casting tuition and Philip Pledger will be demonstrating various casting techniques and sharing his expertise in the arena. Philip will also be providing cooking demonstrations at various times throughout the day.
If you are an experienced fly-fisher or wish to find out more about this fascinating pastime, please visit the Salmon and Trout Association stand. They will be running a 'Have a Go' stand with tuition at £5 a go for 15mins.
Carrilon will also be at the East Anglian Game & Country Fair on Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th April 2012! See, feel and have a go, with all the latest Trout & Salmon fishing tackle and outdoor clothing. And whilst you're there, why not have a go at the UK Fly Casting Championship.
Try your hand at the Carrilon UK Fly Casting Championship The fun way to test your skills!
What is it? It is a relatively simple, yet challenging 'obstacle' course, which requires candidates to cast at 5 targets around the course. This requires at least some aptitude and basic skill in just a few simple casts which a proficient fly fisherman would expect to use in actual fishing situations.
