Jon attended Norwich City College and completed a VRQ in Catering, whilst working at The Lavender House in Brundall, also doing a 6 month spell at The Pigs in Edgefield. In 2008 he was voted Norfolk Young Chef of the Future, with his Raspberry Soufflé with Black Pepper Ice-cream.
Jon did a week stage at Le Manoir au Quat Saisions before being offered a full time job in Raymond Blancs kitchen but instead preferred to continue working in Norfolk, with the aim of setting up his own business.
In 2010 he spent 2 months in Ghana, West Africa building a school in a remote previously school-less village before returning to become Head Chef at Pulse Café Bar in Norwich. In 2011 Jon was asked to open the kitchen at 11 | Bar & Kitchen, at the time an upmarket dining experience.
Jon is now running his own Cookery School, based in your house. He offers a huge range of classes from gluten free cooking, to chocolates and pastries with the key difference of him travelling to see you.
